  1. The sky is blue because of our visual system (humans can see 300 - 700 nm of wavelengths - though is a bit arbitrary).  Everything in reality is transmitted into our psychological perception or mind through the process of transmission.  The sky and grass absorbs various wavelengths in the visible spectrum - and our retina is adapted to see that colour.  Other living organism may not see the sky 'blue' or grass 'green' simply because they have adapted to different light in the spectrum - for example, certain birds and ants can see ultraviolet light.

  2. the grass is green as a result of photosynthesis, the sky is blue because of  gases that it contains.

  3. Actually the sky´s color is not blue, it is as dark as you see it at night. We see it blue during the day because of water inthe atmosphere. There is humidity all around the earth that causes that effect. The grass is green because of the photosynthesis caused by the sun as all vegetables that have cloropfhila are green. In case you need to know a bit extra about green vegetables they are the healthiest to eat because the have lithium which is an antidepressant that is deposited in the brain. As endorphines are less produced with age, the olderyou get the more greenvegetables you should eat.

  4. The sky is blue because of the atmosphere of the earth reflecting the light from the sun. Same affect as a rainbow from a prism, but due to the angle the light is refracted, only the blue shows up. Grass is green because of the pigments and the chlorophyll.

  5. The colours we see is in the visible part of the spectrum and is not one colour but a blend. The blue colour of the sky is an absorption of the blue (Indigo) part of the spectrum by the elements that make up our atmosphere and it's refraction/reflection in all directions...that is why certain parts of the sky looks like different shades of blue. The rest of the colours passes straight through and we don't see it.

The green in grass is the absorption of all parts of the visible spectrum by chlorophyll in grass to make food, except green! The green is reflected and that is what we see. Interesting to note that there are many plants with chlorophyll that reflects the red and blue part of the spectrum as well, so they look red or blue.
