I'd like to book it for the end of the year, and preferably somewhere in Europe.

No flights, but travelling by ferry.

Is this a possibility?

  1. you want to travel by ferry but cheap?? Ferry & cheap don't go in the same sentence lol.

Majorca is about the cheapeset place to go though.

  2. Croatia is lovely, relatively inexpensive and there is a public holiday on 8th October so the festivities are usually good.  Enjoy!

  3. Would you consider camping at all? You could buy  (or borrow) some camping equipment, put it in the boot of the car and do a bit of touring in France. Or you could drive down even further and see a bit of Spain. Really with that sort of holiday the world is your lobster. Alternatively you could stay in one of Europes many static caravan holiday sites such as Keycamp or Eurocamp. Whatever you decide to do have a great time.

  4. Go on the travel sites, and cruise the agents windows.  Looking and booking now will definitely make it cheaper.  It will all be on a case by case basis.  Just remember, cheap and nice generally do not go together!  That is what everyone is looking for, and this is like hen's teeth.

  5. you,ll find you are limited in choice for winter ferries

    spain

    france

    belgium

    channel islands

    norway

    sweden

none of these places equate to a cheap holiday

the cheapest fares are to france but it won,t be exactly warm at this time of year

the average cost of a ferry to the likes of norway and sweden can be the same price for a flight to malta which even in winter is still good
