Bootie and Hilmar posed very good questions back to you.  Without a family name to start with - your question can not be answered.  Once you have the family name, then narrowing it down to there region is important.  After that - a birth date will be of great help.  A person's birth date is one of the manners that people are distinghished from one another in Germany.
