Do you know how Interrail Eu. works.?

Question

I thought once you buy 22 days continious Eu pass or.... then you can travel with only extra booking/reservation cost of £5 or so. but after searching I spotted most of them are only 25%, 30% or 50% Off ??? Is there a website able to work how much will a particular journey cost holding Global Eu Pass. How much discount is given on Night Trains???

Any suggestion any advise
