could you run your house with it? couldn't you just hook a generator up to the fuel cell and run a generator from it for electricity?

it takes a lot of power to separate water into H2 and O2, more than you can recover from it via a fuel cell. About twice as much.

bottom line, you don't get something from nothing. Perpetual motion machines are impossible.

Hydrogen can be generated from water through electrolysis, but, it is a costly process. Maybe a fuel cell generator could be a better alternative.
