Do you know how to make a solar hot water heater that could be hooked up to an existing hot water tank?

I was working in my garden and my scissors had lain in the sun for less than 10 minutes and they were too hot to hold. I thought wow all this wasted energy, how could I convert it into something useful?

BTW:  It is a 'water heater', not 'hot water heater'.  Wasting energy to heat water that is already hot, well, that would be silly.

You can also use this same system for hot water to heat the house.
