Didnt know there was a such thing as a male or female banana.   I knew there was a male or female flower part of the banana tree, but that was it.

Did you know that a banana will break into 3 equal pieces longways)? As many bananas I've eaten in my life, and I never knew that. Someone showed me recently and I couldn't believe it. It's messy to get it started, but then separates real easy.

Banana flowers can be male, female or hermaphrodite but the resulting fruit isn't.
