If Sin theta= 3/5 determine, without calculating the value of theta, the values of:

a) Sin2 theta

b) Cos2 theta

c) Tan2 theta

Could you go through each stage step by step so I can see how to get to the answer if possible.

  1. Thats a no from me too

  2. nope. I don't even know what theta is

  3. no

  4. When you eat food, dont swallow, chew first... be carefull as you may swallow your guitar pic..

sin2 theta is the name of a [thee] [taa] mooo

  5. a-w

    b-t

    c-f

  6. Draw a right angled triangle and use pythagorus to find that you have a triangle with sides of length 3, 4 and 5.

    sin theta = OPP/HYP = 3/5

    a) sin^2 theta = 9/25

    b) cos theta = ADJ/HYP = 4/5

        cos^2 theta = 16/25

    c) tan theta = OPP/ADJ = 3/4

        tan^2 theta = 9/16

  7. You need to draw a triangle which I can do on here. When you draw it make one angle, not the right angle, theta.  Then make the side of the angle that is opposite from the theta angle 3, and the hypotenuse of the triangle 5.  Then you can find the 3rd side and Pythagoreom's theorom, or however it's spelt.
