Do you know if islam forbids teenage boys from intimate relationships falling in love etc..??

I met a 17 year old boy on holidays that was a muslim and we were so in love and he told me he loved me too but he stopped talking to me and i think it was something to do with his religion because he mentioned to me that his mother forbids him from having a girlfriend but we still fell in love i really need help because i miss him so much

in islam there is no girl friend . if a man love a woman they get engaged

and marry

It's not Islam that forbids young men from falling in, love, it's more so the culture. Culture dictates that they have arranged marriages. However, according to Islam, they shouldn't be having sexual contact (not even kissing) before marriage; however, they technically can date.

If he cares about you enough, he'll come back, if not, you'll find someone much better for you.

Assuming you are American and somewhat Christian, I am not being intolerant by saying you are better off. The cultrual differences between out culture and the middle eastern cultures are so great that these relationships rarely work out. For an example read "Not Without My Daughter" or see the movie (the book is better). I know you are heartbroken, but time will help you heal. When you get older you will be able to understand better.
