  2. i called verison they said yea 65 cent a min on cruise ship it's 2.49.

  3. Hola.  I think you might want to call them.  I use wireless here, but its not Verizon.

They usually work however you really don't need them.  A number of places here offer free wi fi.  Most resorts, a number of restaurants, etc.  For example, you can pick up a signal at McDonalds, Starbucks, La Palapa (cool cause you can sit on the beach and surf.)  Also, internet cafes are as common as starbucks in the states & most have wi fi but you may also want to bring your firewire in case you need to plug in- otherwise they'll "rent" them to you.  Oh subway on the malecon- they have wifi too, with a great view.  You really won't have too difficult a time getting online here. ;)

    Unfortunately the best place on the beach for wifi changed hands and no longer offers free wireless.  That was Lazy Lizard on Los Muertos.  You could lounge on the beach all day and work with a margarita in hand!  Oh those were the days....
