Do you know if there are animes or mangas about Latin america???

Question

I mean if there is japanese animation with latinoamerican themes, heroes or locations

it can be argentina, colombia, brazil or panama what ever?????

From the top of my head I can't recall any series that is completely focused in Central / Latin / South America.  There are several Anime & manga that derive characters from the region & visits / side-treks but nothing major.  And there exist several art-books by Japanese artists with Mayan / Aztec temple scenes (their names elude me at the moment).

I'm surprised that there aren't more series based on South America.  Especially with the many historical Peru-Japan relations.  Though the following is a "bad example" - former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori is a full-blooded ethnic Japanese.

And Brazil has a strong Anime fan-base and is famed as a hotbed for cosplay (though some have made them infamous for certain Anime-IRC attacks & stolen subs).  Heck, the 2008 World Cosplay Summit champions are Brazilians.
