  1. Yes!

  2. Jelly-fish are not a problem like in Australia, speices are mostly not dangerous and surely not deadly.

Anyway, ask people, we call them "meduse" (plural) "medusa"(single).

  3. I have lived on the Island of Sicily for over 13 yrs from 1979 to 2000 and have swam all over from Palermo to Tariomina to Catania to Saracusia and I have never had any problem at all with jelly fish but if thier is a beach you want to go to is Taraminia (don't if right spelling) but it's a touriest beach between Messina and Catania is one of the most beautifulest beach with the most crystal clear water that I have ever seen and also only the top 2 feet of water will be warm and the rest will be ice cold and such a blue that you can as far down as you want to see and also a plus is that it's a optional nudest beach with women and people from all over the world go thier.

  4. I wouldn't go swimming in the Meditteranean...

  5. I lived on Sicily for 5 years and swam almost every day. I never encountered a jelly fish even once.
