  1. He's an idiot. Recent studies have linked issues with newborn hearing tests to SIDS. If you go to www.seattlechildrens.org and type in the search words sids/hearing test it will take you to the story that was posted on their web site several months ago. Children's Hospital, I believe in Rhode Island, conducted the study on several babies that died from SIDS and ALL of them had the same defect on their newborn hearing test.

  2. Not true but you can pass on a coldsore.

  3. Oh my goodness. That is so not true. I kissed my daughters on the lips all the time. SIDS ( sudden infant death syndrome) They don't know what causes it yet. But I'm pretty sure it's not caused from the mother or father kissing their baby on the lips.

  4. What a load of nonsense!! Kisses never killed anyone.  Sounds like hubby has some kind of problem to me.

  5. That's a load of BS.

  6. Thats not true, a load of B*****

  7. Not true, on a BBC documentary on babies, Dr Winston states that kissing is actually HIGHLY BENEFICIAL for your baby if you're breast feeding!

When you kiss your baby any bacteria that maybe on it's skin is picked up by the mother, the mother then makes antibodies for the bacteria and passes this onto the baby, via the breast milk, therefore IMPROVING the baby's immunity.

Kissing is also highly beneficial in the bonding process, improving relations between mummy and baby!

    Kiss away!!!!!

Maybe your partner is jealous of the attention the baby is receiving?...  Give them some kisses too!!

  8. where did he hear that! ha ha.. that's nonsense! it wont cause SIDS! what about women who use dummies and suck them first b4 giving to baby, your fine kissing her and tell him to go to the official SIDS website to see what the real threats are!

  9. Are you sure he's not just jealous of the affection you are showing to your baby?

Some men get a crisis of confidence and feel left out when a new baby comes along and suddenly gets all the attention.

  10. That's the biggest load of BS I've ever heard.... ask him for the research to back it up.

  11. No not true.

What about when your partner and you kiss each other.

  12. I'm an ECE teacher and can tell you after all the SIDS classes I have had, it is NOT true.

Just keep you child on their back to sleep, not too warm and keep soft toys and big bulky blankets out of her crib There is nothing bad about kissing your baby on the lips.

  13. I have never heard that.

  14. There would be an awful lot more babies dying if that were true.

  15. your boyfriend is nuts. there is nothing wrong with that!

you love your baby its fine to give her kisses! Tell him to read up some more on SIDS!!

  16. rubbish your partner just jelous

  17. Ummm no, that is not true at all....

  18. Absolutely untrue. While the cause of SIDS is unknown, new research has come out with some evidence that it has to do with abnormalities in the brain-stem of babies. Your kisses will not hurt your baby. Kiss away!

  19. Absolute bunk. Kiss your baby.

  20. not true . have him google SIDS .

keep on loving your daughter the way you are  :)

  21. That is c**p!  Tell your partner to google SIDS and put any myth to rest.  SIDS occurs most often in newborns and the liklyhood of it happening decreases after the first month.  If he is that worried purchase a monitor for the crib that sounds an alarm if the baby stops breathing.  Look at BABIES R US.  I think it is made by angel care.
