Do you know of a wild plant that smells like cucumbers?

i live upstate new york (just to give you an idea of my surroundings) and have a lot of woods near my house. at night when i get home, the air around my house smells like cucumbers. and not just a little whiff i mean it REEKS of cucumbers. and im sure theres no cucumbers around my house? do you know of a plant that smells like cuucmbers or what this smell could be?

  1. There's a plant called borage (Borago officinalis) that grows in your state that's *supposed* to have an odor (and flavor) resembling cucumbers:  http://fichas.infojardin.com/foto-hortal... - this is more of a garden herb, so a neighbor might be growing it, or it's an escape.

    FYI, copperheads (the venomous snake) are also reported to have a cucumber-like odor.
