Do you know of any celebrity parents who homeschool their children?

I've read that Will Smith and his wife do....But do you know of any others?

I think John Travolta homeschools his children.

The Erwin's...you know the crocodile hunters wife...she homeschools both her kids.

I know Chris Paolini, writer of Eragon was homeschooled. He gives HS the credit for being able to develop his considerable imagination and writing ability. He's a major supporter of home education.

Madonna homeschools her daughter. Also, Taylor Swift was homeschooled for her Sr. year of high school (but mostly so she could tour and get her CD out there.)

The only ones I've heard of are Lisa Welchel, Kelly Preston and Will Smith. I know Will Smith hires a tutor, but he has his definite say in what the kids learn and sounds quite involved from the interview I read. Lisa Welchel did it herself. Haven't been able to find any information whatsoever on Kelly Preston and how they go about it.

I don't know if you remember Lisa Whelchel.  She played Blair Warner on Facts of Life back in the 80's.  

She homeschools her kids on her own.  No tutors.

Bindi Irwin is now homeschooled as well.  (the late Crocodile Hunter's daughter)

i do know that Hilary duff was home-schooled through out her high school..quite alot of celebrities do this

Usually they don't homeschool in the sense that you or I would.  They typically have private tutors that do the HS'ing.  It's the only way to take their kids on the road and let them have an education.

But yes, it is very popular among celebrities.

Edited to add:  Jordin Sparks, last year's American Idol winner, was HS'ed (and still might be).

Dakota Fanning and her younger sister are homeschooled (in the traditional sense-taught by their parents).

The twin brothers off of The Suite Life of Zach and Cody are homeschooled, not sure what method they use.

Several that immediately came to mind have already been mentioned-the Smiths, the author of Eragon, Steve Irwin's children, etc.

There are more, but I can not think of them right now.

Democratic candidate John Edwards says he homeschools. What he has really done is hire a tutor to teach his kids using the materials from the public school. This is not really homeschooling as most would think of it - with parents being the teachers.
