  1. Do you have access to spices? If you do order an Indian Vegetarian cookbook. I was born a vegetarian by religion and do not have any health issues because of that and neither has my family in past 3 generations that I know of. And we have been eating Indian food all our lives, there is so much variety, we dont even want to try meat.

    Good Luck!

  2. While I'm not completely vegan, I've tried to maintain a low fat, dairy free diet with little meat (then only fish and poultry) for many years. One of my favorite vegetarian cook books is called "Laurel's Kitchen", the "Moosewood" series is excellent also. Most of the recipes in both focus on using fresh veggies, rice, legumes, etc., rather than more exotic ingredients. If you can't find these books locally, they should be easy to find online.

  3. Student's Go Vegan Cookbook, Easy Vegan Cooking, Vegan Planet, and Veganomicon.

  4. There are tons of vegetarian recipes online. I'd give you links, but really, it's as easy as googling "easy vegetarian recipes".

If you insist on books (I prefer to make my own from the internet, but whatever), these are great.

    Vegan With a Vengeance

Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World

    The New Vegan Cookbook

    The Complete Vegan Cookbook

  5. you can look on the internet for recipes so u wont have to pay for a cookbook
