I know a couple legitament home based jobs as well as ways to make extra money on the side.  Here's an article about home based jobs that has a couple legitament companies that you can apply for a position.  I don't know if you have the qualifications for it, but you can take a look and see.

Another way you can make extra money on the side, and a lot of people are doing this is to start a home based business.  You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business with less over head expenses and a fraction of the cost it starts up.  Most people start their business on the side of what they are currently doing.  Building a good business.  Once they've reached the income amount the desire each month, then they put their day jobs down.
