Just wondering. It seems pretty expensive for most of the groups I know of. I know I can't afford it and I really see no real benefit to it. Your thoughts please. Especially if you have it or disagree that it has many benefits detecting paranormal activity.

  1. Wow! That would be high end. I doubt even anyone associated with TAPS uses one of those.

Would absolutely love to have one of those for close in work, like the h**l cell in that one prison and a few other places I know where there was localized activity.

  2. Looks pretty much like this

Delivering accuracy of 2% and thermal sensitivity of 0.18°F, which provides compliance to NETA testing needs, the Extech i5 allows users to check for overheating in electrical panels and inspect areas that cannot be reached with thermocouples

Overheating in electrical panels = real = tool may be useful

Ghosts = not real = waste of money buying tool

  3. It is very expensive. I can see some benefits to it, but really I guess it is not 100 percent essential.

The more gadgets we have the more scientific we appear. Appearance is very important when contacting clients but the lessor expensive instruments do the same thing.

I have about $1,000.00 tied up in equipment and I thought that was a lot of money but this one item is three times More than all mine.

I think I Can do without it. I believe the paranormal cannot be scientifically documented but I keep trying in hopes to prove myself wrong. Like I have said before i have had experiences but few and far between but those experiences is why I investigate using scientific methods.

  4. I think that the TV teams use those. Regular teams, I'm sure would love to have that technology but it's way too pricey.

  5. It would be practical if you could use it for other things than ghost hunting.

But I guess if you have the money to burn, buy it.

I would only invest in one if my job required it, and I was in business for myself.

It would be beneficial at looking for cracks in steam lines on boilers, or use for fire fighters.
