Do you know of any place that knows how to cook fish right?

Since I came to America, I've had some bad experiences with fish. I'm starting to conclude that Americans simply don't know how to prepare fish properly.

Growing up in the Caribbean, fish was by far my favorite, but i've never had good fish in America :-(

You'd probably be best off asking this question in a region where you are staying in America.  Don't conclude that every American doesn't know how to prepare fish if you haven't tried fish in every city in the Union.  

Try Philly, New York, Boston, Baltimore and Tampa in the East.  

Try San Diego, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle in the West.  

These places have an abundance of fish restaurants because they have coastal borders and you should be able to find multiple species of fish as well as various different ways they are prepared.  If you're in Montana or Wisconsin, I'm not too sure you're going to find the best fish markets in America.
