Question:

Do you know of any sites that keep track of NHL season ticket sales over the years for each NHL team?

A while back I was told by one of the salesmen for the Coyotes that Yotes are right now 3rd in the NHL in season ticket sales for the 2008-2009 season. Not to say that I didn't trust him but I wanted to look up the information myself and tried different sites to look up but I cannot find any.

Also when it comes to the rules of being a season ticket holder( I assume there are some, at least in regards to ticket redistrubition) are those rules set up by the NHL and/or the individual teams?

  1. The NHL considers a season ticket holder as someone who has purchased a complete regular season schedule of tickets (currently 41 games).

It is up to the individual teams, and the owners of the buildings to determine what rights go along with those tickets aside from guaranteeing a seat for each regular NHL season game.
