Do you know of anyone in the Illawarra/Sydney area leasing out horses?

I am 19 year old and a beginner rider, I need to find somebody who wants to free lease out their horse. Preferably 15-16hh and any breed except for Arabs and Heavy bloods (yes, I don't mind an Thoroughbred, not all of 'em are over excitable). Must be suited for beginner aka "bombproof". The horse will definitely be kept at my best friend's place (who is a great horsewoman and had trained ex-racers). Preferable age is approx 7-14 or older. It would be wonderful if the horse does come with its tack. Definitely will be well-loved and looked after (currently learning how to look after horses at one of the RDA centres).

I am looking forward to replies or recommendation to somebody who does have the ideal horse, I've been searching LOTS of sites but was disappointed to see most free lease horses are for exp/intermediate riders or broodmare only.

contact some local stables they may be able to provide you with the info you need!

Yeah, contact local stables and advertise on horseyard.com.au, horseguide.com.au and those kind of sites.

I think you'll have trouble getting a horse for free lease, to a beginner at another property though. Good luck.

I'm leasing a girls horse at my stables for 3 weeks around/during the holidays, I'm paying board, it's at the stables and I'm experienced and she's seen me ride her horse.
