This plant has a 15" hard woody stem and one dull not shinny leave that is 8" wide and 12" long. The leaf is rough like sandpaper with the back side rougher. The leaf is serrated. The veins are lighter in color by several shades. I found it along side of the road in Missouri just before the Arkansas border in a dry ditch that could easily gather rain water. It resembles an elephant ear. I have researched many sights tonight but have been unable to identify the plant. I thought it may be a tobacco plant but, it isn't.
