Do you know rugby union is played almost professional in IRAN?

Even they have participated in asian tournoments like ASIAD in Serilanka.

Pakistan 0-44 Iran, Pakistan 11-22 Iran (Lahur, Pakistan)

Iran 53-7 India, Iran 45-3 Pakistan (Colombo, Serilanka)

The Islamic Republic of Iran Rugby Union was officially formed in 2002 by Alireza Fazlollah A’rabi although it is isn't a full member of the International Rugby Board.

I dont think it is professional in Iran as it has not  gained full status as other professional teams and its not apart of the IRB rankings although it will participate in 7s rugby during the 2010 asian games.
