Yes. Almería is near where I live. Tabernas is an area with the most amazing desert landscapes. It is the only European desert in fact.

Most spaghetti westerns (including "The good, the bad, and the ugly") were filmed there.

Hi!  I live in Zaragoza, Spain (I don't know if you're Spaniard or not) but I was born in Murcia (near Cartagena) where all my maternal relatives live and are from, but all my paternal relatives are from Almeria, and most of them live there (in fact, in Almeria city) and I usually visit them each year. I love Almeria!!!
