  1. Yes, my mum's friend's daughter was diagnosed with leukemia a few weeks ago. She is 10 years old. She is scared, but she is getting through with it, and is fighting it as best she can.

  2. It has changed my respective in the sense that it has made me aware and respectful of the power of God. And of the mercy of Mary, Mother of God. Someone in my family was diagnosed. Through God's will, she's with us. I'm telling you, faith in God is a well of hope in the darkest moments.

  3. My niece was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 2 and is almost finished with her second year of chemotherapy.  I can't really speak for her as she is so young but it has changed my perspective on life forever.   Before her diagnosis, leukemia was always something that was so rare that I never really thought it would affect me or my family.  Until one day, i'm listening to my brother tell me that his baby girls bloodwork showed that she had some form of cancer and now they have to run more tests to see exactly what kind it is.  There lives were turned upside down and my heart broke for them.  Now, I try to do anything and everything I can to help promote cancer research and awareness.  The research that has already been done has greatly improved my niece's chance of survival as this diagnosis would have been a virtual death sentence 40 years ago - now, due to research and technological advances, she has an 80% chance of survival (she has high risk pre b a.l.l.).  I want to thank everyone donates to cancer research.

Her diagnosis also helps me to remember how precious life is and to enjoy the moment.  I am so proud of my niece for being such a warrior!

  4. Hi Jazzy - I have leukemia. CML. I was diagnosed eight years ago, they gave me one to three years to live. I take chemo every single day. There are lots of negitives, like the pain, and the low immune system, and sores in my throat, and loss of energy. But there are positives too. I appreciate each and every day. The people I love that love me back. The cat purring. Each sunrise. I think it has made me a better person. More loving, and a little bit kinder. I hope you are well, and do not have to go through anything like this. I hope for any good person, that they "could live like they were dieing."  Take good care.
