Do you know that out there there are still some people that believe in Einsteins speed of light theory?

I cant believe that some people still believe in that 20 century rubbish. We can already send matter at 3/4 the speed of light and it's only 2008. Who are these teachers who are teaching these poor kids?

3/4 the speed of light is still not the speed of light. I'd be interested to read your entire revised theory on relativity.

The LHC will propel protons to 99.9999991% speed of light, then smash them against an opposite stream. Later on they're gonna play with iron atoms.

Now that's going to be a pretty firework display if ever there was one.

I would be willing to bet you really don't even know what that theory is. It isn't called the speed of light theory anyway. It's called relativity. And there's nothing in it that suggests you can't approach the speed of light... it does however suggest there might be consequences; and that such velocities would have surprising effects on measurement and the apparent passage of time.

But like I said, I believe that you could not express his theory. So that's the challenge: you tell me what the theory of relativity (special or general) says, and I'll take you seriously.

The overwhelming majorityt of scientist rely on relativistic math when dealing with problems dealing with velocity and great distance. It has been proven repeatedly by measurements taken with atomic clocks.

Yes, the three major proofs (which I challenge you to identify without holding my breath) have been found to have notable exceptions. But the theory of relativity is pretty solidly supported by scientists in this world.

You are not a scientist, right? You've  never read Einstein, right?

Is this some silliness like trying to disprove evolution?

If it wasn't for Einstein and others like him we wouldn't get to the next step. We still aren't past his theory. I agree it may be clarified or improved on soon.

Unless and until Einstein's theory of relativity is proven otherwise, then it is still a valid one. Before you classify it as rubbish, you should have solid proof to negate it.

What do you think is the physics concept behind being able to send matter at 3/4 the speed of light?

What I believe is that when I ask someone else to do the washing up they move even faster than anyone could ever calculate the speed of light.

The Theory of Relativity has passed EVERY EXPERIMENT and TEST that has ever been done ..

.. whilst the Theory of God has FAILED every test that has ever been done :-)

(even the Tests started by the Romans & the Lions = nuff said ??)
