Question:

Do you know the difference between a Yield and a Merge in traffic?

Ok, I am sick of people coming to a full stop at a merge when you have a whole lane for a while to merge into traffic. I nearly rear-end people! You NEVER stop on a merge...and you only STOP on a yield when there are cars coming. I am here to tell everyone this cause no one (at least where I am driving) seems to know!!!!

  1. yes that always drives my dad crazy.... he starts 2 get road rage cause ppl stop when the merge and it totally messes up everythin and its dangerous!!!!! but as long as peeps like dat drive.. ders nutin we can do except keep our eyes open for our own safety

  2. awww...i bet you feel better now that you've vented!!

and we are here to listen :)

now...the best thing i can tell you is..to anticipate the short-comings of others on occasions and to be prepared for them so it won't surprise or disappoint you!

oh..and one more thing..*sometimes* i mess up too!  and i try hard :)

    take it easy!~

..excellent tutelage, got it! :) here's hopin the driving is better tomorrow!!!!!

  3. All I can say is expect the unexpected out there. Give youself some room, just in case there's a knucklehead in front of you.

  4. Well what if the merge lane that you're in has become so narrow you can't go ahead without merging, and no one will let you in?  Then you have to stop, don't you?

  5. That is fine but what happens when you find yourself in the merge lane and traffic in the adjacent lanes are travelling at a high rate of speed with no room to merge into and the merge lane is quickly ending?  I guess that's what they made guardrails for.  LOL
