Do you know the name of my plant and its care?

Question

A store gave out this plant, but it had no name attached and all I know is it's a tropical plant. It doesn't like the sun, because when I had it in the window sill it began to droop and as soon as I moved it out of the window it perked up again. I think this is the most beautiful plant, and I want to take good care of it but don't know how. You can check out the pic of my plant on

It's a croton.

look up croton I do believe it is a variety of some kind very cool plants because of the great color variety in each of the leaves but very easy to grow.

It most definitely is not a snake plant.........
