Do you know these types of people?

I don't get when people buy the cheapest toothpaste and the cheapest mouthwash ect. But don't spend the extra $.60 to buy Crest or some other good brand. This is really with any brand, could even be food brands. But I see them a lot in the bars spending $$$ on their bar tabs. Is this hickish or what?

When I lived in Las Vegas and was helping a friend of mine  and his family out and by working one of their liquor stores at night on weekends. I seen some pretty cheap people.

I mean spend some huge bucks on booze and yet when the had the kids along with them wouldn't buy them a candy bar or some little piece of candy! So I therefore invented what I called an #$%hle tax. I would add 10 cents  per item per purchase! They didn't realize they were paying for some kid to get a candy bar or a soda anyways.

I'd always look like the good kind nice man behind the counter, the kids were happy and dad or mom was content with the kids being quiet.

Yet little did they or anyone realize those nut jobs and tightwads were indeed paying for the said given away free item.

I did tell the owner of the store and he laughed at it!

I put the total in a jar at the end of the night and let it build up!

Yes, I know what you mean by cheap people and their priorities.

It's a shame sometimes!

however find a way to beat them at their own game or don't worry so much because it's not your teeth falling out !

I totaly know what you mean. people like that think "its cheaper so i save money" in the long long run maybe yeah, but when the difference is by a few cents, then it is pointless. might as well get your moneys worth right.

Maybe these people are more interested in socialising and having a good time than caring about buying brand names or judging others.  

You would rather have brand items, they would rather spend their money at the bar.  You don't get them, they probably don't get you either.  Everyone is different, so what?

I think You are right. It makes no sense to rob Peter to pay Paul. I think a lot of people put their priorities in the wrong place. Of course it is the innocent who have to pay the price.

... So it really bothers you if people dont buy the 'name brand' tooth paste huh? ......I've seen people being bothered by a lot of weird things but I gotta say, that's a first for that one. Frankly I think how they want to spend their money is their own business, as long as other people dont have to pay for their decisions.

I am a cheap person so I prefer my beer at home.I buy nothing but the cheapest brands and still drive my beat up car until it dies on me,than I will go get another car.I am just that cheap.Nothing wrong with that.At least I know I'll have money to spend when I retire.
