Do you know this virus?

the virus had put a VIRUS ALERT on my clock bar, and when I click the start button, most of my important applications are not there. I had already deleted most of the viruses that attacked me 2 days ago, but this one just wont budge. please help me get it out.

That is a Trojan Horse, not a Virus.

I'm betting is XP Antivirus 2008 or one similar to it that pretends to be your anti-virus protection.

If a Restore Point won't fix, you'll need to transfer your personal files to another partition and reformat / reinstall.

PS nearly EVERYTHING Rainforest just suggested is Malware... stick to AVG and AWC.
