  1. yeah

  2. take him/her for a night stroll or car ride.

  3. helps if they are tired physicaly and mentaly

calm music (classical is good-its what i do for sleep problems)

  4. In the evening, a bath - then a snack - then right to bed.

  5. After much trial and error, I found that a noise machine playing the ocean/rain/whatever, and lavender aromatherapy lotion applied to her hands and temples make her drift of quite quickly.  Lavender is very calming/soothing.

Once in a while warm milk is needed when she can't sleep.  I have no idea why that works.  It just does.

Also a dim nightlight we found was much better for her than the bright one she originally had.

  6. I'm big on the bedtime routine and (no matter how tired you are) not giving in to "five more minutes" or "can I sleep with you?"  However, when travelling with babies/toddlers on airplanes, I have been known to use Benadryl to assist napping.

  7. hahahahahahahh.........no disrespect but this question is so badly worded i have benn laughing for 5 minutes..!!!!It sounds like your asking for ways you can fall asleep for your children!1hahahahah!!!! but any way....you cant make a child fall asleep quick if thier sleepy they'll go 2 sleep. Just like no one can make you fall asleep faster.....unless they drug you.......

  8. If you train them from early to fall asleep on their own, this is much easier!

The best way I know of is to have a bedtime routine.  Dinner, bath and teeth, books, bed, for example.  Try to start the routine at the same time each evening, and do things pretty much in the same order and at the same time each evening, then to bed.

    Good luck!

  9. When I was little, my mother would warm up a cup of milk for me and then snuggle up beside me and read me a book. As the story wound down, I'd start to drift into sleep. Hearing her read and listening to the story was great for my imagination, phonics, spelling, as well as for learning how to read myself faster than the other kids who werent read to as often. My mom read to me every single night. Ahhh how I wish I was still a little girl!

So for me, that worked wonders!

Here's another thing that helped me:

If your little ones are used to sleeping with you and dont want to be in the dark alone in their big boy/girl beds, try sitting by the door until they fall asleep. Don't have any lights on other than a nightlight if they like one so its just like they're sleeping on their own. Once you're pretty sure they're asleep, just quietly slip out. This may take some time, patience, and willpower to  either not leave too early or fall asleep by the door, but eventually they'll fall asleep on their own and you can fall asleep too but in your own bed.

    Hope this helps!
