Programming note....my little trivia questions will be gone tomorrow night as I plan to attend the Truck race at Bristol....I'll be back with you on Thursday nite....thought we would do a sponsor tonight.

What company/business are we???

We started sponsoring a competitive team in May of 1981 Bobby Allison drove a few races for us.

We won a few Daytona 500s

Our car was always intimidating in the rear view mirror of our competitors....when they saw us coming we were already passed them. We were really cooking on the superspeedways.

Our car will always be a part of history when Royalty met the Republic on a hot summer afternoon.

In 85 and 86 we were still successful but our driver was aging and wouldn't the force he used to be.

In 1988 and 1989 we experienced a changing of the guard as a son of a champion started driving for us.

In 1990 we invested in a Paramount of a contract and couldn't afford both it and our CUP program...so the CUP program was put on hold even though we still had a car on the track.

1992 saw us return to NASCAR and we found a driver who was a natural....92 and 93 saw us win win and win.

1994 saw us sponsor a new team to CUP but by the end of 1995 they were out of business....and our spreadsheet didn't look good either.

We sat out for several years trying to get our core business fixed with our fixin's....we returned with a blanket sponsorship in which our name was on 4 cars as an associate sponsor.

In the 2000's we have made one off sponsorship deals....never could afford it like we used to....but hey at least we won this year in NASCAR....and at our favorite track.....who are we????

  1. Hardee's is my guess, wanted to say another but will stick to this one!

  2. Its Hardee's....

    Cale Yarborough

88-89 Son of a Champ - Dale Jarrett

Paramount of a Contract - Days of Thunder (#18 Russ Wheeler)

92-93 "natural" driver - Ward Burton

Won this year - #20 Hardees/ Coca-Cola Toyota driven by Denny Hamlin - Winn Dixie 250 Nationwide Series race at Daytona in July

  3. Hardee's? I don't know

  4. I think it's Hardees also.

  5. Di-Gard Racing.

  6. I say Kodak as well.

    -Edit-

If the answer is Hardee's, then I give the guy who posted the answer two thumbs up (the one who had a lot of info). You did good man.

  7. Is it Coca Cola Company?

    I think it's Miller.

I'm wrong. It's Hardee's. The Paramount reference refers to "Days of Thunder." Hardee's sponsored Ranier in 81 with Allison behind the wheel, Cale was the superspeedway ace and Daytona winner. I think Hardees sponsored Ward Burton in a new ride in 95 but I don't remember the team. Jarrett drove a Hardee's car too. * The Burton car was owned by Allen Dillard Jr. and only ran Cup for a year.

Have a safe trip to Bristol!

  8. Goodwrench?

    Go Jr.>>>>

  9. Havoline? Hardees? Nothern Light?

  10. man this is a hard one...i'm going to just take a guess off the top of my head...Hardee's?

  11. Interstate batteries. I dont know. Have a great time at the race and keep the trivia coming, they are great.

  12. Miller?

  13. I was thinking it was Mello-Yello with Kyle Pety. Another great question, I look forward to them.

  14. Uh......  hmmm... this is tough. My first guess is Kodak. Once I have more ideas I'll put em down.

Someone already wrote Hardee's... but they did win the Nationwide race with Denny Hamlin at Daytona.

    Wait.. Bob-Cat?? No...

    The Texaco oil company?

"Changing of the guard" makes me think of a branch of US Military.

    Wait.. wait... Northern Light?

Ok, Mindcriminal down there says Hardee's for sure..

  15. Enjoy the race but I have no idea so I'll guess Viagra. lol
