Do you know what book this is?Please Help urgent!?

Ok So I'm going to do my best to describe this book for you. It came out probably in the late 80's early 90's and it was a childrens book that was kinda big full of of stories some of the stories were about some armadillo not wanting to eat red ants, another story with some people who all got together and went around a small town trying to find food to make a huge soup in this little town and after they were done all the towns people who didn't want to give them ingrediants smelled the soup and wanted some Stone soup I think that was the name.Another story that was in the book was Caps for Sale: A Tale of a Peddler, Some Monkeys and Their Monkey Business they were all in the same book if anyone knows please help me!!!!! I would appreciate it soooo much.

I know the book about the stone is in fact called "Stone Soup".; and i've read the "caps for sale" book but i've never seen them all in the same book together =]

I made sure I was in the Books category here, and put in Caps for Sale, The Story of a Peddler, Some Monkey and Their Monkey Business (that's what I remembered, wrongly) but Amazon has a book by (close to) that name, by Esphyr Slobodkina.
