  1. there is no way it's a hybrid of a seagul/dove/pigeon. It is deffinatly a pigeon, and by the looks of it a breeder very well cared for it enough to put ID tags on it's feet when it was a squab. Yes pigeons can have blue eyes, so can doves. They can also have white/yellow, or red eyes. it's all a matter of genetics. It looks young too.

  2. He/she is a homing pigeon by the look of the bands on it's legs.  There ought to be a way for you to find it's owner by the bands.  Maybe.. That's my guess anyway.  Good luck

Edit::  Yes it does look young by the look of it's beak and it's feet.  Please do try and find it"s owner.  See what it says on it's bands on it's feet.

Edit:: Yes Victoria, that sounds like the year to me too.  I am hoping someone here will be of help to you.  Your a good person   :-)  That is one very lucky lil bird...

Edit::  If I had to guess age from the look of it's beak and feet, I would say just several months old.  Maybe 3-4-5 mos old.

Edit::  This is just a thought...  Maybe you can try and look up some sort of a homing pigeon group, and ask for their input.  Explain what's on the birds bands.  Or, someone here on question/answers will know something that would help you in your search...I have my fingers crossed for you.  Good luck again.  Very cute bird...

Edit::  The head feathers are different.  Your's look fancier.

Edit::  Yes, that does look like the one you have.  BRAVO Victoria...  Same kind of feather thing going on there...  VERY GOOD.  I have 2 parrots, and I had to have them dna tested to find out their sexes.  Sometimes you cannot tell just by look alone.

  3. I can tell you right now it IS a pigeon, what kind, your guess is as good as mine.  You may never know, could even be a hybrid.
