Do you know what causes Satin to look wet?

  1. The smooth texture must have been affected by something.  You could try ironing it all in the same direction as the grain of the fabric.  (Run your hand lightly over the fabric to see which way feels smoothest then iron in that direction.)

  2. You could try smoothing the pile with a magnetic brush.

    I don't think the dryer will have affected it - it is more likely to me to have rubbed against something coarser than it is.

    You could also try removing it as you would for fluff balls.

  3. If stained by protein or fatty (oily) materials, then you can be left with a wet-looking mark, even after laundering.  Spray with a laundry stain remover (not the off-brands, they are very watered down) or a detergent that specializes in such stains (like Era detergent).
