  1. Teleportation is the movement of an object (or particle) from one point in space to another without traversing the distance between them.  It has only thus far been achieved with photons.

  2. No such thing mate.

A theoretical "wormhole" is where space-time is bent so much (by a black hole or other massive object) that you can travel from one point in space and time to another in an instant.

Teleporting is a magician's trick of the eye.

  3. bending the laws of physics and transferring matter from one place to another instantaneously.

  4. The process of disassembling the human body converting it to something that could be sent over wires or radio waves and assembling it on the other end back into a human body. And I must add, the human would still be alive.

  5. It's like magic.  Have you seen Star Trek?  You go into an imaginary hole in Seattle, for example, and end up in Tokyo.

  6. Teleporting is Transport by dematerializing at one point and assembling at another

  7. Teleportation is the transmission of an object (by breaking it into it's basic particles and rebuilding it again) between one point in space to another, either instantaneously or via a high speed conduit.  So far, this is only found in science fiction because our technology is not advanced enough to study the quantum effect outside of elementary particles.  A number of stories have been written about the idea, with Gene Roddenberry being the most famous for his use of teleporters in "Star Trek."  Other stories of note are George Langelaan's "The Fly" and "The Stars My Destination" by Alfred Bester.  Each explores the benefits and potential hazards of teleportation technology.

  8. Imagination at work. Instantly moving yourself from one spot to another, either nearby or far away, by either just thinking about it in your mind, or using a machine.:))))
