the brakes went out, I got them fixed right away. Then everything has been fine and out of the blue today I noticed that my -check gauges- light came on, I pulled over and my car was smoking like crazy. I checked the oil and there was none at all the dipstick was clean, ( I just had an oil change a week ago and there was oil in it). Also there was a loud ticking noise. So i put in 5 things of oil and the noise went away the -check gauges- light went off then 2 miles down the road the light came back on and I could feel a difference in how it drove and my oil gauge kept fluxuating from 0 to 5 back to 40 then back to 0. So when I got home it was smoking like crazy again, it was leaking oil and it was ALL over the place, all over the engine, the undercarriage, on the tires. What is this? Why would this happen? What would cause this to happen?

Thanks In Advance

  1. Either the oil filter got plugged up, or there is a major oil leak somewhere. If they put a FRAM oil filter on, change to another brand. We have a 2001 Jimmy and always use an AC/Delco filter. Not because they are made for GM, but because they are a better filter. You also need to see if the oil drain plug is still in the oil pan. You really need to have your jimmy checked over by a mechanic.

  2. the fram filter if they put on is junk they usally plug up on gm motors why no one nos put acdelco on and keep a eye on oil and when you start watch tailpipe for blue smoke
