Do you know what kind f beetle this might be?

I found in outside in the front flying arowd in illinois. it is a lot smaller then a stag beetle. it is tan with a part black parck yellowish head. i looked it up online but i couldn't find it! if it helps i found it in evanston illinois! thanx! and if u have the website u found the answer at or a pic of it then would u plz post it on here? thanx!

I'm not sure what the common name of this one is, but I think it's a scarab beetle, related to June bugs.  Pretty common in this area (Illinois/chicago).  A bunch flying around my house right now, actually.  Freaked the kids out a bit, too.  Check out this picture...  http://www.bugpeople.org/cgi-bin/FamilyS...
