Do you know what the Collingwood Football Club did???????

Last year I was working in the Great Victoria Desert at the Mantamaru (Jameson) Aboriginal Community. The team there the Mantamaru Magpies wore black & white - they play in an ad-hoc hit-and-miss competition against other communities in the area.

The welfare officer at the community contacted Collingwood for a set of club football jumpers. Collingwood supplied a set - which had been worn in a Friday night game by the league side. A complete set, only worn once.

The only condition asked by the club was that some photographs of the Mantamaru team wearing these jumpers be taken & sent to the club.

I don't know how many of these jumpers are still available as some of the players were still wearing them days later.

Ha ha...to you paranoid Magpie supporters who thought I was going to rubbish the club!!!

Anyway, it's a true story.
