It's in an area that is flat and barren and is just miles and miles of ice in the winter and a mud flat in the summer. Anwar is located next to Prudhoe Bay where drilling is already being done. By the way, the Caribou and Bears are walking all around the drilling rigs not concerned. There are no Mountains nor much plant life at all. So Congress needs to stop stalling and allowing drilling in Anwar. Drill Now!

  1. That is it's beauty. It is a wildlife reserve.  One place in the country without  any form of industrial development.

It would be stupid to allow drilling till me are out of GAT so government can put export tax on oil sold to Japan. Who owns the Alaskan Oil Pipeline. Think major owner is BP and won't they sell to highest bidder.

  2. Agree.

  3. Anwar is a refuge. It's not like a town or anything. It's called, officially, Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. And I say drill there. But the libs are afraid that we might disturb a caribou t**d.

  4. Arctic animals must migrate in order to survive in such a poor climate.  Any development in even this apparently barren land could disrupt migration patterns and cause massive die-offs of migratory animals.  Besides, our oil situation is not so dire that we have no other alternatives.  Also, I oppose opening any of our wildlife refuges for exploitation by private companies.

  5. Agree. look at the map link. The proposed drill site is a fly spec in the reserve.

No one ever goes there. Too many mosquitoes and the nearest airstrip is 100 miles+
