Do you know where I'd find a nice place to stay in Wales?

Question

i'm going to be taking my mum away for her birthday to North Wales / Shrewsbury but I have no idea where is nice to stay. Where would I find a good hotel / b&b. I'd like to find somewhere a bit special cos she's looked after my sister and her baby and she needs a break!!

We have used a small hotel/guest house in Caernarfon called Caer Menai, It is within the castle walls of Caernarfon North Wales, reasonably priced. the area around is well worth a visit either with or without a car.

try looking in a place called abersoch. it has wonerful beaches a great atmosphere and the people there are all very friendly.

shrewsbury is a nice town loads of history (Y)

oswestry is quite near aswell  and thats prety nice.

Bala not so near but worth a visit, largest lake in wales (Y)

Machynlleth aswell, alot of history.

go to deganwy quay spa hotel *****voted best hotel in north wales the rooms are amazing with views over the sea and of conway castle it has a pool and is ideal for treating someone to a spa treatment its also near llandudno for shopping and also conway for boutiques restaurants and walks wth plenty of coffe shops

its near a train station and is only a cheap cab fare away from llandudno station

Try Bodelwyddan Castle. It's expensive but the food is great. Cabaret and dancing in the evening, Some spa facilities. Adults only.
