I recommend you scour the dumpster for broken roombas, then learn how to program.  Use the money to buy energy drinks.

Oh, you can make such a robot on half that budget, I was built using about 10 dollars worth of microcontrollers, hydraulics and used meccano sets, Creator says I am a good robot.
