Do you know where "Gibraltar" is in?? Can you give me more in information about this place..?? Is it a hot place for travel??

  2. Officially, it's in the United Kingdom (well, its a crown dependancy i believe). Its at the southern tip of Spain though

  3. Just off the Southern tip of Spain,within easy reach of both Spain and Portugal,in fact I'm going to Gibraltar later this year when I go to Portugal-can't wait to see the Barbary apes!

  6. Gib is a British dependancy on the Southern tip of Spain, across the sea from Morocco. It enjoys the hot climate of Spain but is also prone to occassional rain due to it's shape - which can attract clouds.

    It enjoys most of the things that you associate with the UK, like Morrisons supermarket and yellow lines/parking tickets.

    It is a very safe place and you will have a great time there.

    Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory.  There is no formal British consular representation in Gibraltar and the local authorities deal with all requests for consular assistance.  See the General section of this travel advice for more details.

    There is an underlying threat from terrorism in Gibraltar. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.

    Most visits to Gibraltar are trouble-free. Violence or street crime is rare.

    Vehicles may occasionally experience delays when entering Gibraltar from Spain and vice versa.  These delays normally last for no more than thirty minutes, but can be longer.  It is advisable to take water with you during the hot summer months.



    However this rarely affects those entering/leaving Gibraltar on foot.

    A full valid British passport is required for all British nationals visiting Gibraltar.  As Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory, no prior entry visa is required for British nationals.

  8. Gibralter is a peninsula jutting out at the bottom of Spain towards Africa. I believe it is a good place to holiday. Its a rocky place with wild apes living amongst the people. (you see them on Youve Been Framed steeling peoples ice creams and glasses).
