It is a literary clue:

A map that depicts the route between the Moorish general's home and the place of his death.

do you know what the answer is? i can't find it anywhere!

The most famous Moorish general in literature is probably Othello, the main character in the Shakespeare play of the same name.  He dies in the play, so you can figure out where that happened.  And there's probably something about his home in there too.

I suggest the word "atlas", which is a map, and also the Atlas Mountains are in Africa, so maybe that's where Othello (which I got from another answer) was born or died.
