The day after i bought my frog he started to float upside down then a couple hours later died. i taped him and he would kick a leg but not move. i also tried turning him over but maybe 30 minutes later he was flipped back over.He didnt eat either when i put blood worms in the other one ate like 20, but the one that died didnt move just stayed up top. Do you know why he died?

  1. first of all u don't feed it bloodworms u feed it beta food and it was probley sick until it a bloodworms

  2. they do not eat betta food, they can eat dried shrimp pellets and what kind of water did you use? it should be spring water (not distilled or tap)

they will only eat food that sinks down to the bottom. as to why it died im not sure maybe the water was too warm or too cold or maybe it just freaked out and died they do get shipping shock which is when you travel with them (doesn't matter how far or how long, they will swim around the edges of the tank for minutes if not about an hour, my froggy died to and i dont know why (he was an african clawed frog

heres a couple sites for you to read on dwarf and clawed african frogs they are also totally 100% aquatic ( they do not need to come out of the water)
