Do you know why people do this on ebay??!!?

it really pisses me off when people start bidding on a product when the auction still has like 3 hours left or even several days left. its so ridiculous! we would get such good deals on ebay if we just waited till the auction was just about over. like this one product i was watching was at 86.00 dollars 3 hours ago. now it is up to 127.00 i mean come on people! we could of had a great deal here!

because they wanna know if they're gonna get it ahead of time

if you click wrong, internet fails out, or something else happens such as you dont click it fast enough you have 0 chance of winning the auction

placing a bid earlier allows you to see what other people are willing to pay as well

No matter when the bid was placed, whoever bids the most wins the item.

I bid early to get rid of the stingy chiselers like you.

Not true..even if folks waited until the last say 10 minutes, the same folks would be bidding and setting the same maximums, so the prices would end up in the same range.  All that is happening is that folks know they may not be online when the auction ends, so they are presetting their maxes.

People bid when they see something they want. Sometimes auctions end at 3am when people are sleeping, or in the afternoon when people are at work. People bid when they want to bid. If it went up to 127, it was going to go up to 127, regardless of when people started bidding.
