  3. just the trans and power steering get checked running and Never check the oil unless the engine has sat turned off atleast 15 minutes

  4. no, shut the car off and let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes before you check it or check the oil before you start the car the first thing in the morning.

  5. No.Shut off engine and let set for a couple of min. Pull dip stick..wipe clean..reinsert and pull out to check. When the engine shuts off the oil is allowed to drain into the oil pan for a accurtte reading on the dip stick.

  6. no. you must turn the car off. If you check the oil with the car running you wont get and accurate reading because the oil will be flowing around the engine, So you have to turn it off so it can settle..

  7. No. It must be shut off and allowed to cool down a while so the oil has a chance to drain back to the pan. That way when you check it you will get a proper reading.
