I use to but then realized it wasnt a good idea because of the itchy and scratchy show and other violence my 5 year is already violent enough.

no way. some people think they are too young to understand it but no they are not. whether you want to believe it or not they are absorbing more than you think. The Simpsons is meant for teens/adults, not for preschoolers. TV alone is bad enough for kids, let alone the Simpsons.

It is just a t.v show. If your kid hears a dirty word it is not the end of the world.

No way my boys are not allowed to watch simpsons, family guy or anything along those lines. I know I was young when i watched Simpsons but it has in my opinion gotten even more adult like over the years

Yes! At 4 they are too young to understand what the simpsoms are all about. They just see it as a funny cartton and it is something you can watch together without having to sit through too much of the Hip Hop Harry or Wiggles.

No I would not, a child has to be old enough to understand you don't go and choke someone when you are mad like Homer chokes Bart etc. My kids watch it if their father or I watch it with them and honestly that has only been about 5 or 6 times total. I am not one of those freaks who thinks Tom & Jerry or Looney Tunes are bad for kids, but Simpsons is really not appropriate and definately not for a 4 yr old.

I wasn't allowed to watch it as a kid until i was 8-10 so i would definitely not let my kids watch it.

NO! You should start instilling good values from the baby is born and watching the Simpson is not going to do your child any good. I suggest Dora or Blues Clues.
