Do you let your child have flouride?

Question

Theres lots of opinions on flouride on here, Just wondered how many people prevent their child from having flouride (Water, Toothpaste etc.) and people that feel flouride is necessary?

Please explain your answer, Thanks.

Fleuride is essential for healthy teeth... I use fleuride toothpaste for my children and city water that has fleuride in it... you can also buy fleuride water...

No way. Fluoride is a poison!

I feed them a healthy diet. Lot's of fresh fruit and very little sweetened food. Mostly for special occasions only (not just for teeth, for general health as well). After brushing, clean the mouth thoroughly with either peroxide or iodine solution. After all, it's not the sugar that causes the cavities. It's the sugar that feeds the organisms in the mouth that cause the cavities. Sealants on their teeth for extra measure cause nothing is foolproof.

My kids have no cavities! Best of luck to you!

My 3.5 year old child drinks tap water with flouride, but he does not use the toothpaste.  Better safe than sorry.

It really depends on the child. I have seven kids, two of whom we use all typical mouth products as well as additional flouride foam because their teeth are so very week and prone to cavities. it has been helping in the past year. The other children don't use flouridated toothpaste, but still have enough in their tapwater, and then have flouride foam once a year at the dentist.

Any chemical is dangerous in extremes, but some within moderation are acceptable.

Floride in moderation is healthy for the teeth. Our dentist recommends that my kids drink two cupfuls of tap water a day and I let them use toothpaste with floride which they spit out.

Fluoride, or "Sodium  Fluoride", has been scientifically proven to be POISON.  Not only that, it reduces brain functions and slows thought processes.  That's right, FLUORIDE MAKES YOU STUPID!  Here is an extensive study by the people at "Scientific American"  which PROVES it:

The Scientific American study "Concluded that fluoride can subtly alter endocrine function, especially in the thyroid -- the gland that produces hormones regulating growth and metabolism."

The report also notes that "a series of epidemiological studies in China have associated high fluoride exposures with lower IQ."

In 2005, a study conducted at the Harvard School of Dental Health found that fluoride in tap water directly contributes to causing bone cancer in young boys.

"New American research suggests that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of five and 10 will suffer an increased rate of osteosarcoma - bone cancer - between the ages of 10 and 19," according to a London Observer article about the study.

An August 2006 Chinese study found that fluoride in drinking water damages children's liver and kidney functions.

absolutely.  as a child, i was given fluoride while my sister's weren't.  my teeth are very strong with no cavities while my sister's teeth (and her children's) are full of cavities & crumble.

the closest to fluoride i gave my kids so young was nursery water- but i would only get a gallon every month and a half. as far as toothpaste- i did not let them use fluoride toothpaste until they were old enough to understand they had to spit the toothpaste out.

NO!  It is a poison...you even see it on the package that it is if you don't believe me.  The fluoride that they put in the tap water and toothpaste and "Nursery" water is totally different than the fluoride that you have NATURALLY in ground water.  The fluoride that they add is TOXIC MANUFACTURER WASTE.  Don't believe me?  Do a research about the history of it.  Also, it is the main ingredient in RAT POISON!

The waste fluoride was also used in the Concentration camps to subdue the people and keep them willing to co-operate even though they were in the process of being killed.

We don't have it in our tap water, and I don't use nursery water.  We do use the toothpaste which has it in it, but in VERY small amounts.

Countries with no fluoride in the water have already shown that it is a hoax that the fluoride helps decrease the incedence of tooth decay.
