  1. i sure do let my child wear sandals! its HOT outside and shoes and socks will just make their lil feet all sweaty!!

  2. My 15 year old wears whatever she wants, usually flip flops.

My 10 year old wears nothing, unless I make her.

My 6 year old wears crocs, all the time.

If we are going out someplace where they will have to do a lot of walking, I make them put on sneakers, but other than that, they can choose.

  3. Sure, I do.  I live in Texas and it is hot and humid all year long.  We all wear flip-flops all the time.  My daughter has a bunch of cute pairs.  I own about 20 pairs.  The only time I make them wear tennis shoes and socks is for school because of PE, when they are riding a bike and when it is cold outside.  Other than that it is pretty much up to them as long as they match and are not ratty looking.  I don't know why you wouldn't let them if it is hot outside.

  4. i wear whatever people give me my mom has not bought me shoes in 7 years

i do not have kids but my nephews wear sandals with 2 straps

i would love to buy them crocs or other flip-flops(mickey mouse)

    they really love sandals

i would like to wear crocs to i think i'll go buy me some

my sandals broke today when i went to walmart so i had to get a pair i bought 1 dollar pair of sandals

  5. depends. the only time i make my kids wear socks and tennis shoes in the summer is when riding a bike. they are getiing in & out of the pool, jumping on the trampoline, etc. this makes for alot of lost socks in the yard.  riding a bike- my son learned his lesson 2 weeks ago. we had to make a trip to the emergency room, he jumped on his bike with flip-flops and ripped the top of his big toe off, when he tried to stop. i was at work, but he learned his lesson. a few stiches and neosporin and he was fine. the rest of the year of cours, socks and shoes. they aren't aloud to wear crocs to school.

  6. I'm not a mom, but I'm 13 the oldest of 7 kids. This is basically what my mom does with our shoes:

PLAY sneakers - They are worn while playing outside where we will be getting them dirty.

sneakers - Places where you will need comfy shoes to play in, but you will not be getting them dirty.

black shoes - They are worn in the winter/fall during school or church.

white/black sandals - They are worn in summer/spring to church or dressy places.

Ugg boots (or something like Ugg) - They are worn when we are going somewhere in the winter that will be cold, but no snow.

crocs - Somewhere that walking will be involved (amusment park, water park, or beach) but you still want your feet to be cool.

flip-flops - If you are old enough to hold on to them, they can be worn anywhere. If not just wear them around the pool area.

  7. h**l no shoes and socks all the way. At the pool or beach yes.

  8. Crocs yes, I think they are really ugly but they are so easy for slipping on and off, say if the kids are playing in the paddling pool and running in and out. Flip flops no, I don't like the idea of the toe posts on little feet and I think they are a bit dangerous. There is no protection for the toes and it's so easy to trip up in them.

  9. I dont see why you wouldnt allow them to wear crocs or flip flops.  Where I live, its HOT and wearing tennis shoes would make me miserable, so I wouldnt make my daughter.  During the winter time, when it gets cold she wears tennis shoes, but not in the summer.

  10. When I was a kid I never wore shoes ever!  I have my first on the way and he/she will wear tennis shoes and socks when doing stuff like riding a bike or at the park or something but if were going to the mall or they are just playing in the yard then I think crocs or flops are just fine!  They are kids and they are a lot tougher than parents want them to be sometimes!

  11. during the last 2 summers my youngest (almost 3) has worn crocs. He has an extra wide foot and stride rite sandals cost like $45...generic crocs cost $5. If he loses one, I can easily afford to replace them. During the rest of the year I put out the money to buy him sneakers (and he wears them with socks).

My oldest has worn sneakers with socks this summer, but last summer he wore regular sandals. My daughter has worn generic crocs the last 2 summers.

  12. Crocs are amazing. They are closed toe but cooler than tennis shoes and socks. Its really hot where we live and their feet get so sweaty and hot and I think its just cruel.

Flip flops are dangerous. They break and give kids blisters. So not worth it.

  13. Depends on the activity.  For the most part, they can choose what they want to wear, as long as it's basically appropriate, and in keeping with the safety requirments of a given activity.

  14. if theyre at the beach, crocs forsure. they stay on the feet and they air out easily

  15. Why not?  My son wears Crocs/flip flops in the summer sometimes, but he also wears sneakers.  It also depends on where we're going.  For church or a semi - formal/formal event, he wears nice shoes.  But if he's just playing and hanging out, anything is fair game.
